Organic Raw Food Bar

Organic Raw Food Bar

Have I eaten today I must do something better or different 2 to lose weight?

Breakfast: Plain nonfat yogurt w organic as a cup or less of old fashioned oats, uncooked and sliced apple Lunch: cheese and tofu turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread. Put a little mayonnaise and mustard on, I'll try to skip the morning May 2. Morning snack: 100 calorie chocolate snack bar black evening olives on a piece of wheat toast wa a bit of butter I was not planning to have just four dinner, but I was hungry, so I had these vegetables cheese enchiladas my mom did. They were made with low fat material. Is that bad? 2 much food? I want to lose 20 pounds this summer b4 school starts. OMG this is q Spam 5 times. U should know that all spammers b reported.

You did well, but I could have done loads better. Eat four to six meals small daily with breakfast is the largest and dinner is the smallest. Eat most of your calories earlier in the day. Avoid soda and junk food.

food allergies so rare?

I am allergic to most random things. Most foods just that my throat feel weird and my chest has become scarce or often feels itchy as something that did not fall until the end or I have to burp, but the feeling is much clearer and uncomfortable. Some of these foods are: Melon (worst) Cucumbers baby peas in the pod of lettuce and raw vegetables in general Carrots Bananas (tingling tongue / throat swelling maybe ...) The strange thing is Zucchinni tomatoes, not all the time. Organic granola bar I had a shot in the chest and somehow my reaction, but I'm not allergic to nuts and had only normal granola and blueberries in it more than that. Basically I can not eat vegetables ... How well I can eat well? What I can do to relieve these reactions when they occur, because I never know what will trigger? I likes a bit of V8 vegetable-like fusion, but always in my fridge V8. It is sadly my biggest source vegetables!

Have you had food allergy testing done? If not, go go go .. :) Seems you do not really have an allergy to the vegetables (you can drink in liquid form as V8 Fusion), but it seems you have trouble digesting food high in fiber. There are a couple of reasons for this, but should definitely talk to your doctor about it. You may also have celiac testing, its easy and simple, and that the main causes intestinal damage untreated celiac that can mimic allergic reactions to food. That said, some of the foods you mentioned have in common. melons, cucumbers, zucchini are all related closely with food, and if you are allergic to one, which may be sensitive to them. These foods can also be problematic for people with mold allergies severe, especially melons. Lettuce and vegetables usually come from families of three, all of which contain lots of fiber. 1. , Artichokes, lettuce, sunflower seeds are a family. 2. Arugal, cabbage, Bok Choy, broccoli, cauliflower, radish, greens are all together in another family. 3. The parsley, carrots, celery, cilantro together in a new family. (The spinach is in the separate family of three). That is your reaction to the three families of "green" vegetables, but you can drink V8 .. makes me think fiber is a related issue, or have a problem with aerosols used in fresh vegetables. Banana allergy also stress among people with intolerance of corn or maize. allergic to tomatoes and snap peas problems .. these are not "related" in fact anything that you mentioned. Peas in the pod ... more fiber? Tomatoes .. You can drink V8 Fusion, so I doubt its real tomato allergy. Defintately I recommend that you go see your doctor and some tests implementation, to rule out other physical condition that may be causing problems .. Meanwhile, start a food diary and track what eat and when you get a reaction. Eventually you can find a common thread among the things they had not seen before. PS .. I forgot this .. but may want to see in a salicylate allergy http://users.bigpond.net.au/allergydietitian/fi/sal.html http://www.webmd.com/allergies/guide/salicylate-allergy

Love these bars - satisfies my chocolate craving in a good and healthy way. P.S. I do taste the coconut in the coconut bar...

This bar is delicious!!! It tastes like a brownie! I can't find them in my local area and was very happy to find them on Amazon! YUMMY!

Awesome

by Mark A. Borah from SW Michigan on 2010-07-21
These are very tasty and, according to the package, very good for you. How can you go wrong?

I liked them

by D. Wright from Denton, MD United States on 2010-07-18
dislikes: a little too much cocoa flavor that kind gives it a little hint o' bitter chalkiness and OCCASIONALLY a little soapy taste (i got over it) Likes: they're Kosher and Organic. I could not taste the dates, thank God. I enjoyed the brownie like texture and the predominate coconut/chocolate flavor(as the name suggests). it's a good size bar which makes the glutton in me happy. There's a bit of an oily residue on the bar that seems to bother some people but it truly blesses my heart. I would definitely buy the coconut/chocolate bars again and will probably try some other flavors too.

I'm SHOCKED, its SOOOO yummy!

by Alyssa Hethcoat from Olathe, Ks on 2010-06-04
I love coconut and chocolate, but wasn't sure about this bar. I was SHOCKED about how yummy it was!!! I have Crohn's disease, and have trouble eating wheat at times. Coconut oil and sprouted foods are both things that help my digestive system. This bar had BOTH and was so incredibly tasty! Many times, I'm hungry and just have nothing that I can snack on to curb my hunger and this did the trick!!!

we love these. the price is right. the ingredients are pure and simple. the less processed...the better.

One of our favorite bars

by Eco-conscious in Seattle from on 2010-08-10
Reading through the worst reviews, the only thing I can agree with is that they are oily. But there is nothing inherently wrong with oil. I think its possible that their formula has changed over the years.I think these taste fantastic. Lara Bars are way too dry, and Cliff bars the same - and most are too sweet. These are simple, lightly sweet, with a mild flavor. They really are a small meal - this isn't a snack for anyone who weights under 150. I often will eat only half and eat half the next day. These ARE GREAT for traveling because they are so filling and easy. Perfect airplane food. Our family loves these. Our 4 yr old even asks for them.I would recommend these without hesitation.

my 3 toddlers LOVE them

by zombie from on 2010-07-03
Yummy and easy snack for on the go. My toddlers (ages 1, 3, and 4) fight over them and keep demanding more. I have trouble not devouring the whole box in one day.

pretty good

by S. Styles from Las Vegas on 2010-06-04
Not too bad. They have a lot of calories in them and they are a little greasy but I would buy them again. I have yet to try out any of the other flavors. Over all it's good.

tastes like a raspberry brownie

by S. MCCANN from Graham on 2010-01-31
This going to sound alot like my other review of hazelnut chocolate but this one too tastes like a brownie except for the difference that this has a hint of raspberry flaver which is a nice touch. I like this alot and will by this again. I love that it is all organic and mostly all raw good fiber and protein with a natural healthy sugar that is agave nectar.

Amazing taste!!!

by Kathleen A. Riehle from Warsaw, KY USA on 2010-01-07
This is a great treat. I've tried all the Raw Revolutions and this one is my favorite. Everytime I order a box or two, this company is fast in sending it out and deliveing it to my door. I'm a huge fan!!!

Raw Revolution Raspberry and Chocolate

by J. A. Meyers from Lincoln, NE USA on 2009-11-05
You can really taste the Raspberry. This is my favorite of the Raw Revolution Bars. However I like all three I have tried. I take one to work every day, it is the perfect work/anytime/convenient snack or occasionally meal replacement bar. I feel deprived without my daily bar. It helps to keep the cravings for sweets away!! Love IT!!

Rasberry Raw revolution bar YUCK

by Michael A. Hudson from Iowa on 2009-10-22
The bar looks good on the ingredients list, but it tastes bad. It has an oil film all around it. To eat these every day I could not do it, if it were a survival situation I could probably choke them down as the have no after taste thanks to the oil film.

These are the best ever!

by K. Ryberg from Montana USA on 2009-10-19
These are the best gluten free snacks I think I have ever had. They are sweet in a subtle, natural way and I love the nuts infused throughout the bar. These make my life better!

tasty but not messy!

by Chris Ironhill from Simi Valley on 2010-09-06
These bars are tasty but do not have a chocolate or yogurt coating, you know the ones that melt into a gooey mess when they get warm. Bonus the bars are gluten free. The vendor shipped promptly.

awesome healthy treat

by robin from ohio on 2010-08-26
These are not for everyone but they are great. I drastically changed my diet about 5 months ago and had trouble finding an alternative to have for a *treat*. All that changed when i found Raw Revolution products. These are my go to snack. I like the 100 cal version. I don`t care for the Apple cinnamon variety. They remind me of a masticated apple loaf. I like the products because they use agave nectar as a sweetener and other *pure* food ingrediants. I can actually read the ingrediant panel

Misleading Brand and Labeling

by Typical American from on 2010-08-11
A local grocer recently had a display of various flavors of these bars. I read all the labels and was surprised to find that most of them said that they contained between only 82 to 90 percent raw ingredients. I'm trying to keep 100% raw while I (hopefully) recover from an illness, so the only flavor I purchased was the one that did not say it was less than 100% raw- the hazelnut chocolate. I was very pleased that it was delicious and satisfying. I intended to make it my breakfast five days a week during my commute, and perhaps see if I could buy cases of it.Then the first box arrived today. The top of the box read "90.6% raw." I was surprised and disappointed that I had missed that on the label in the store. Concerned that I was losing cognitive function, I went to my garbage box of non-compostable-nor-recyclables and found the wrapper from last week. I examined it carefully and it did not mention that these contain 9.4% cooked ingredients. I opened the box that had just arrived and saw that the bar labels were the same as last week: no mention of non-raw ingredients.Note their legal disclaimer on this site:"Actual product packaging and materials may contain more and different information than what is shown on our website. We recommend that you do not rely solely on the information presented and that you always read labels, warnings, and directions before using or consuming a product."-- They may want to add that you should also not rely on the info on their labels.I don't recall seeing the 90.6% figure on this site last week. I don't have evidence that they didn't have it posted here, but as you can see from this review I'm a pretty obsessive reader of info about the things I eat.In sum: Their labeling is misleading about the raw content of the hazelnut chocolate bar. At the very least, given what I've experienced and what they seem to feel they need to place in their legal disclaimer, I don't believe this brand is worthy of the trust of the people I care about just yet. I hope very much that changes, and that I can buy their products in the future. For now I'm boycotting until they are more honest in their labeling and less disingenuous in their branding. Hopefully, eating raw will help me to live to see that day. Godspeed, Raw Revolution.

Delicious

by LC from on 2010-08-01
First, I will say: I eat a lot of salads and fruit, and not much processed food, so I have unusually biased tastes. That being said, these remind me of brownies. Perfect for a sweet tooth, and surprisingly filling for how small they are. I love them, but gave a friend (with an average american diet) one to try. At first she was skeptical, but then said it just tasted like chocolate.

Great for paleo

by A. Gandhi from Houston, TX on 2010-06-21
This is a great bar if you are on the paleo diet. Yes it is a bit of a cheat but still worth it.
