Think color - try to eat fruits and vegetables of different colors to give your family a wide range of nutrients like fiber, folate, potassium and vitamins. - Make physical activity fun
Activities should be fun and something the whole family can do together. There is a push to ensure that children get 60 minutes of physical activity every day, but not all have to be both. Short walks active tasks, walking the dog - it all adds up! - Plan a healthy menu
Preparing healthy meals does not have to be difficult or expensive, it just takes planning. Plan healthy meals for the week, then make a shopping list and stick to it! Reduce consumption sugar - especially soft drinks and juices with added sugar. See all sizes part - use smaller plates and bowls and buy smaller packages of snacks. - Staying active
At some point the screen and the computer is healthy, but it is important to explain to children that feel less and move more. Sometimes you can enjoy both at once - the Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 games New Kinect integrate fun physical activity. - Organize a school health team
The school environment strongly impacts behavior, health and welfare of children. Parents can help schools create an environment that encourages a child's academic success in general. Call your child's principal or PTA president to see if your school has an active health.
