Is this a healthy recipe for a fruit teabread / cake fir a healthy diet?
Ok, so my family is trying to eat healthy. My mom bakes the bread of tea which she believes is healthy, but is it really. It seems to be good for ingreadients you and are very healthy. Here's the recipe: Bara brith teabread. 225 g mixed dried fruit. 1 cup strong hot tea. 225g self-raising flour. 1 teaspoon blend of spices. 2 tablespoons butter. 100g soft brown sugar. 1 apple, chopped 1 egg, lightly beaten makes a large loaf. is baked in the oven. My family believes that a portion a day is fine, which usually have a small part of each after dinner. We believe it is healthier due to the amount of fruits and small if you use the butter. My mother says that brown sugar is healthier than white. . . Your opinions please. They appriciate any help. Oh and of course, tea Hot is what the mixed fruit is soaked in before being added to bread mixture. Thank you.
A small portion of each day is probably fine. Brown sugar is white sugar has molasses added to it. So there is no health benefit of coffee on white sugar. If you want to be a little healthier add nuts to the mix, almonds or walnuts are good for you. If you can be part of the whole wheat flour would be better. Sounds great. I that would be real good taste of toasted a bit.
