Organic Yummy Products Recipes

Organic food is pure, healthy and delicious; the way nature intended food to be. Our bodies get the vitamins and minerals needed without the chemicals and hormones that pollute every other food on the market. Many people think that organic food doesn't taste good simply because it's healthy. This is completely false, in fact, once you've tasted food the way it is meant to taste, you'll never want to go back to non-organic. Non-organic salt will burn your tongue; non-organic sugar will not taste as satisfying and so on. Everything tastes like chemicals once you've had the real thing. I created a list of the great tasting consumable products that can always be found at my house. You may find this helpful when trying to decide what to buy if you're eating organic for the first time. You will also notice a few recipes that I found online that sound healthy and delicious. Enjoy!

Raw Organic Milk from Misty Brook Farm in Barre, MA

Organic Free-Range Eggs from Misty Brook Farm in Barre, MA

Organic "Fruits of Life Whole Food Antioxidant Matrix Bar" by "Garden of Life"

"Equal Exchange Milk Chocolate Bar with a Hint of Hazelnut" (Mmm…)

"De Boles" Organic Pasta with Artichoke Flour

"Our Daily Red" Organic Table Wine

"Organic Valley" Raw Sharp Cheddar Cheese

"Annie's Naturals Cowgirl Ranch Dressing"

Organic Pineapple (Organic fruit in general tastes much fresher but I noticed the biggest difference in pineapple.)

Trader Joe's Organic Berry Applesauce

"Pacific Natural Foods" Organic Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Soup

"Eziquiel Organic Sprouted Whole Grain Bread"

Those were just a few of my favorites. The following recipe has been copied from the "Garden of Life" website owned by Jordan Rubin:

Salmon and Mixed Greens By: Sally Fallon

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients: 1 1⁄2 pounds fresh salmon filet extra virgin olive oil lemon juice sea salt and freshly ground pepper 2 tablespoons unbleached flour 1⁄2 teaspoon paprika 6 cups baby lettuces, or mixed greens such as watercress or Mache 1 red pepper, seeded, cut into a julienne and sautéed in olive oil 1 pound brown mushrooms, washed, dried very well, sliced and sautéed in butter and olive oil 3⁄4 cup basic salad dressing

Directions: Brush salmon with olive oil. Squeeze on lemon juice and rub in pepper. Sprinkle on sifted flour and paprika. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Place under broiler for another 2 minutes until just lightly browned. Meanwhile mix greens with dressing and divide between four plates. Make a mound of red peppers and mushrooms on each plate, place a portion of salmon on each mound of greens, and pour pan juices over. Serve immediately.

Cilantro–Lime Sea Bass (or Halibut) By: Nicki Rubin

Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients: coconut oil fresh or minced garlic chopped tomatoes cilantro 2 1⁄2 lbs. sea bass filets (or halibut)

Directions: In a pan, melt coconut oil. Stir in garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in chopped tomatoes and cilantro. Cook for another minute. Add fillets. Cook approximately 10 minutes, turning once.

Easy Oatmeal

Yield: 2 servings Ingredients: 1 cup of rolled oats 2 cups of water 1 teaspoon yogurt 1 tablespoon extra virgin coconut oil or butter honey to taste

Directions: Soak the oats overnight in 1 cup of water with 1 teaspoon of yogurt added. In the morning, add remaining water. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 1–2 minutes. Soaked oatmeal cooks very fast. Add the oil or butter and honey.

If you really want a knock-out power shake try Nicki's Smoothie.

Berry Smoothie

Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients: 10 oz. of yogurt, kefir, or coconut milk or cream 1–2 raw omega–3 eggs* (optional) 1 tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil 1 tablespoon of flaxseed oil or hemp seed oil 1–2 tablespoons of raw honey 1 tablespoon of goat's milk protein powder (optional) 1⁄2–1 cup of fresh or frozen berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries) vanilla extract (optional)

Nicki Rubin: During my healing process, I consumed this smoothie one to two times per day with raw eggs. Contrary to popular belief, eggs from healthy free–range, pastured chickens are often free of dangerous germs. If the egg has an odor, obviously it should not be eaten. Since most of the salmonella infections are caused by germs on the shell, for added protection it is best to wash the eggs in the shell with a mild alcohol or hydrogen peroxide solution or a fruit and vegetable wash. For those who can't stand the thought of consuming raw eggs in their smoothies, you can enjoy healthy smoothies without them, but you should know that the best–tasting ice creams are made with egg yolks.

Directions: Combine all ingredients in a high–speed blender and blend until desired texture.

Easy Oatmeal

Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients: 1 cup of rolled oats 2 cups of water 1 teaspoon yogurt 1 tablespoon extra virgin coconut oil or butter honey to taste

Directions: Soak the oats overnight in 1 cup of water with 1 teaspoon of yogurt added. In the morning, add remaining water. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 1–2 minutes. Soaked oatmeal cooks very fast. Add the oil or butter and honey.

im eating organic foods lately?

my question is this since i seen food inc and then followed up with my own research i have been doing my best to eat only organic food it is a process and i gotta tell you the food tastes better and i love cooking so it is kind of a perfect match that being said i like making my own pasta but sometimes i wanna just boil a box of barilla so i am wondering even though there are a few ingredients associated with PROCESSED foods is this product really something to worry about or can i eat it unfortunately i dont want to eat whole wheat pasta

I see no reason why you shouldn't use it.

At least you will not be paying excessive prices for it like you do with organics

It has been shown that organic foods are nutritionally no better for you than regular foods.

Personally I do not notice a difference in taste. (I do smoke however and that will affect my sense of taste.

Description

All pastas are not created equal. bionaturae organic pastas from Italy are made with the artisanal techniques of long ago. The difference between a traditionally made pasta like bionaturae and an industrially made pasta is easy to detect. The pale color and porous surface of our pasta is different because we extrude the shapes through traditional bronze dies instead of Teflon dies and dry our pasta slowly at low temperatures. This process is slower and more costly, but the difference in quality is worth it. bionaturae pasta is made by a third generation of a family of pasta makers. We offer semolina, whole wheat, egg noodles and gluten free pastas. Take time out of your day to sit down and enjoy a delicious dinner made from bionaturae organic pastas from Italy. For best results use bionaturae organic canned tomatoes from Italy for your sauce.
