In these days of 2008, most of the stores, even big box super stores, carry one or two brands of green cleaning products and laundry products. However, if you are unable to locate green cleaners in your local store, then the solution is simple, demand that the store manager will start with organic products in his shop and then go home and mix your own.

There a lot of great tips and recipes for non-toxic household cleaning products online, available in libraries and through environmental groups and Gov't Offices. I've been doing my own and after several interruptions of ingredients easily obtainable, most of whom may already have in your living space green. Some may have to buy into a health store or herbal shop, others are in the section on cleaning and laundry detergent of most grocery stores.

Here is a list of safe, non toxic substances that will to merge the green cleaning products for kitchen, bathroom and general household use:

Sea Salt
Sodium bicarbonate (baking section of the store Grocery)
Extracts and essences of herbs with antibiotic properties
(ie, peppermint, cinnamon, echinacea, tea tree oil, rosemary, lavender, garlic, lemon, golden seal)
(sold in health food stores, herbal clinics, pharmacies)
Epson Salts (sold in pharmacies or agricultural supplies such as magnesium sulfate)
Borax (sold in a small box in the laundry products section of grocery stores)
Vinegar
Hydrogen peroxide (in pharmacy)
Pure liquid soap (ie, Castile soap, peppermint soap sold in stores care health or pharmacy sections)
Cornstarch
Laundry Soap Flakes

Bath SCRUB RECIPE

1 cup baking soda
1 / 2 cup non-toxic liquid soap (eg peppermint liquid soap)
10 drops of essential oil herbal antibacterial
Just mix the liquid soap in the baking soda a little at a time until it has the consistency of paste. Add essential oils, and mix background in the pulp. Store in an airtight container with lid up to a year.

Rub the dough around to cover the entire surface of your sink, tub or shower with a mop or sponge mop and then use to give a good cleaning.

Using salt or Epsom salts in the mix is a great piece of hardened foam cleaning disk with ease. It works kind of like soft sandpaper to scrape away hardened deposits tile, porcelain and vinyl without scratching.

If you need to disinfect your bathroom (recommended) just leave the pasta in about ten minutes (while taking a break), then rinse with warm water.

You will be very satisfied with this method of cleaning green. Your kitchen and bathroom surfaces will be bright, free of dirt and disinfected without exposing yourself and family for the purposes harmful chemical sprays and nasty toxic dust. Your green house smell and feel great, because it will be clean and free of toxins as well.

Elastic free clothes patterns?

I like to start sewing with organic material - and not all synthetics (this includes elastic). However, it is difficult to find patterns like this that do not look like something my grandmother would wear. I'm a 21-year-old girl / woman who can not figure out what is right so I'll use them both, and I do not want look as I had six children and am in output rotation of a little butter, if you understand me. simple as hand clothing patterns with the metal or the button fixing and instead of elastic cord (if that is even necessary) should not be that hard to find! Please help.

My brain is rambly a little today so bear with me. Buttons or zippers are always good substitutes for the closure of the seam where they have used honeycomb hand elastic meeting place to get the look of rutching. you have to perfect the art of making easy flap and although it is demanding on the corners and lapping and things that require fine-tuning small parts. Not so in vogue these days that are not in the patterns very often. It takes time and patience for most home sewers and too time and money to commodity goods Pricewise attract the masses. Therefore it will take a little extra time and a somewhat steep learning curve at first, to dominate some sewing skills. Check out the library for old books about the fit and familiar with what form and makes clothes lockdown mode with simple hooks, eyelets, gromets lace or (not so pretty) or loops of the envelope.
