Raw foods: Raw Only?

A diet is considered a raw food diet if it is at least 75% raw, raw fruits, vegetables, sprouts, so raw and living foods are believed to contain the essential enzymes (living foods contain a high content of enzymes in cooked foods). The cooking process (es ie, heating foods above 116A ° F) is thought to destroy food enzymes.

People who follow the raw diet use particular techniques to prepare food. These include seed germination of seeds, grains and beans, soaking nuts and dried fruits and fruit juice and vegetables. The kitchen is only allowed is via a dehydrator. This piece of equipment blows hot air through the meal, but never reaches a temperature greater than 116A ° F.

Do you have to follow the pattern that strictly? Of course not. However, itâ € ™ s certainly worth incorporating some of these techniques and ideas in their diet. If you tend to snack at work, try taking in carrots or apple slices. Many of the larger grocery stores offer packages vegetables or fruits that make it easier to carry and bring them to work.

Wea € ™ re a nation of convenience, and much of the resistance to food healthier is that it does generally take a little more effort and time to buy and cut fruits and vegetables. Food retailers have been captured, slowly, and itâ € ™ s much easier now to get bags of sliced carrots, celery, apples, walnuts and raisins.

Of course, these sand t ™ € necessarily organic food and organic is the best way to go, but we think that nothing is infinitely better raw than cooked foods, processed. If you have the time, do not buy organic produce and slice them yourself. But if youâ € ™ re in a hurry, and nowhere near a food store, then donâ € ™ t blame or sabotage their efforts, and that can not € ™ t do this at 100% all the time. Thata € ™ s not realistic. Anything from the fruit and vegetables will be better for you than a potato chip, or worse, a French fry!
