As mentioned last week, Ramadan is the best time to cleanse your body and fasting a great opportunity for us to get rid of addictions and any unhealthy habit. One of the most dangerous habits and addiction in our life today is sugar. It's a proven fact that sugar increases insulin levels, which can lead to high blood pressure, cholesterol high, heart disease, diabetes, premature aging, obesity, tooth decay and gum problems, stomach disorders and many other physical and problems mental.

is a sad fact that 95% of people are addicted to this poison called "Sugar" to one degree or another! The average person now consumes approximately 115 pounds of sugar per year, this is for man, woman and child!

If you examine the "foods" in any supermarket more closely and start reading labels, it is almost everything contains sugar. Most foods that are loaded with it - from cereals, soups, tomato sauce, to hot dogs, candy, chocolate, soda, soft drinks, sports drinks, even baby formula and baby food.

Lets first understand what is sugar.
Sugar is a natural white substance produced by industrial processes (mainly from sugar cane or sugar beet) refining down to pure sucrose, after removing all the vitamins, minerals, proteins, enzymes and other beneficial nutrients. What remains is a concentrated natural substance, that the human body can not handle.

Sugar is addictive?
Yes! Sugar is an addictive drug, is chemically pure (heroin) through refining has been stripped of all natural food nutrition that was originally in the plant itself. Heroin and sugar are arrived at by processes Refinement very similar.

"Do not leave your body, a drink of varying colors, wherein is healing for men. Verily in this is indeed a sign for people who think." 16: 68-69
