Delicious Strawberry Dessert: Strawberry-Almond Crumble Plus cookie cutter and ice cream cups

What could be better than a fantastic strawberry dessert? Several of strawberry desserts, of course. You are sure to find a strawberry dessert recipe here that fits even the most discriminating palate! The Strawberry-Almond Crumble includes information to make these recipes for diabetics, too. The strawberry ice cream cookies and cups may take a while a little more but are definitely worth it!

STRAWBERRY-ALMOND CRUMBLE

5 cups fresh strawberries, halved *
1 large apple, peeled, seeded, chopped **
Sugar 1 / 4 cup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine strawberries, apples, sugar, vanilla and flour in a large bowl, stir to mix well. Spread mixture on a baking sheet and set aside.

* You may substitute frozen berries unsweetend
** In my opinion, Macintosh apples work the best.

Topping:

1 / 2 cup all-purpose flour
1 / 2 cup rolled oat
1 / almonds 2 cup
Nutmeg 1 / 4 teaspoon
1 / 4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter

Mix flour, oats, almonds, nutmeg, and brown sugar in medium bowl. Using a pastry blender or two knives, cut butter into the mixture flour until it forms coarse crumbs. Sprinkle the crumbs over the fruit mixture. Bake until the topping is brown, about 25 minutes. Cool on a rack for 15 minutes.

NOTE: This recipe can easily be used by diabetics, replacing sugar with Splenda in the mix of fruit (this substitution go unnoticed in this type of recipe) and substituting brown sugar in the topping with 2 tablespoons firmly packed Splenda brown sugar blend.

STRAWBERRIES AND CREAM COOKIE CUPS
1 / 3 cup toasted hazelnuts
3 tablespoons sugar
1 egg white
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon butter melted
1 liter of French vanilla ice cream
1 pint fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
Strawberry 1 / 3 cup canned seeds

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a baking sheet.

Process nuts and sugar in a food processor until nuts are finely ground. Beat the egg with a fork in small bowl until foamy white. Add the nut mixture for the white and stir with a rubber spatula to blend. Stir in flour, butter. Invested four, 2 by 2 1/2-inch cups in the background on the work surface.

Drop 2 mounds of dough (1 / 4 of the dough each) 3-inch tray greased baking sheet. Spread each mound into 4 1/2-inch circle. Bake 7 minutes or until browned on the edges. Remove from pan with spatula metal. Place on each of the glasses. Allow the baking sheet to cool, then repeat the whole process.

Using a small spoon, reduction 12 scoops of ice cream on a baking sheet with sides that has been aligned with wax paper. Place the sheet in the freezer.

In a small bowl, cut the strawberries. Stir in strawberry jam. Puree 3 / 4 cup mixture in a food processor until smooth.

To assemble and serve: Divide the puree by quarters into 4 dessert plates. Cookie Place a cup in the center of each plate. Fill each cup with 3 balls of ice cream and top with the remaining sliced fruits.
